Fall is one of my favorite season of the year! Why? Good weather, sweaters, hot cocoa, but it also means NEW shows and new season premieres! Here are two of my favorite shows that recently premiered:
Starring Jaimie Alexander, Sullivan Stapleton, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Ashley Johnson, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, and more…
A vast international plot explodes when a woman is discovered in Times Square covered in mysterious tattoos. What is even more mysterious is that the name of FBI Agent Kurt Weller is emblazoned across her back. Jane Doe, Agent Weller, and the rest of the FBI realize that each tattoo on her body is a crime to solve and it will lead them closer to the truth about her identity and the mysteries to be revealed. from tv.com
I’m really enjoying this show. The acting is great, the plot is well written. Just enough mystery, angst, with a touch maybe of sci fi. Every episode keeps me asking for more… I am really wondering who she is?
I took off half a star because some of the scenes are ridiculous (and unrealistic) and in episode 2, they make many references to the military (I won’t spoil it for you) that are completely WRONG. They probably should have done more research. Also — Come on, after a brawl, your make-up and hair can’t be that perfect!
This show has a lot of potential to be great! NBC has even ordered 9 more episodes! So we can at least hope to have a full season.
Starring Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Johanna Brady, Aunjanue Ellis, Graham Rogers, Tate Ellington and more…
A diverse group of new recruits arrives at the FBI Quantico Base in Virginia. Special Agent Liam O’Connor lets them know that the FBI Academy is the toughest boot camp and hardest graduate school rolled into one. Some of the recruits come from FBI families, others have been victims of terrorism. Whatever their reason for joining, these recruits only have a 50/50 chance of finishing and there are no second chances. Between target practice and tests of physical endurance, they have to learn the art of investigation. Their first exercise is to find secrets about their fellow trainees – and everyone has secrets. This group represents the best, the brightest and the most vetted, so it seems impossible when one of the recruits is suspected of masterminding the biggest attack on New York City since 9/11. from tv.com
Quantico is the show that I have been looking forward to watch since I saw the trailer in August. After watching Quantico’s first episode, I can tell you that it’s one of those shows that makes you crave another episode. I do not usually get attached (or commit) to a show until I have seen a few episodes, but this one is definitely a winner in my book. I like how there is a diverse cast — especially that the main character is played by a famous Bollywood actress (Priyanka Chopra). She is not just a beauty queen — she is also an awesome actress! I love shows that are crime-related, FBI’ish (hence why I love criminal minds, Law & Order, How to Get Away with Murder, Blue Bloods). I hope this show will stick around for a few seasons!
